Kansas or national?

Although we are interviewing Kansas and Nebraska families (and might be able to expand to other adjacent states) for budget reasons, we hope our interviews will represent the experiences of all National Guard families across the nation. So we want to have the documentary broadcast nationally. Initially though, we might have to focus on a Kansas broadcast and then move to a national platform later. We will need to recruit a host/narrator with national visibility, someone like Tom Hanks or Tom Selleck. As you can imagine, recruiting someone with this national stature will be costly. We have about a year to obtain the services of this person and will obviously need help. In our search for a host, we might begin with Governor Sebelius, a person who is articulate and enjoys widespread support across Kansas.

National would be wonderful as the National Guard has service members deployed from each State. Have you placed any thought on asking a news person; Charlie Gibson or Brian Williams? Or can a high profile person donate their time to this worthy project?
I hope National!

Are you looking for volunteers for this project? If yes, in what capacity?

Margie, we definitely want to reach a national audience. A lot may depend on who we get as a host. Charlie Gibson or Brian Williams would be great. We need someone recognizable and respected by the public. We don't want to get someone too political, though someone with sentiments against the war is no problem, as long as they can be an enthusiastic supporter of our National Guard families. I think someone can be against the war yet be very supportive of soldiers and their families (at least I hope so). I'd love to hear from others about who they would like see narrate our documentary.

Of course the big problem is getting past their handlers and finding enough funds to underwrite their involvement.

Thanks again for posting. (You might want to edit your post if you can to reduce the repetition that showed up).
